About WellEarned
The review problem I couldn't fix by trying harder
I ran events businesses in California for years. Encore Photo Booths, Encore Entertainment, a promotional products company. Weddings, corporate galas, golf tournaments. The kind of work where clients hug you on the way out.
You would think a business like that collects Google reviews the way a windshield collects bugs. It does not.
Here is what actually happens. The event ends at 11pm. You break down the gear, load the van, drive home, and wake up to a dozen emails about the next three events. The client who hugged you? She went back to her life too. Neither of you thought about a review, and by Thursday the moment was gone. Multiply that by every job for a few years and you get a business with hundreds of thrilled customers and a Google profile that looks like nobody ever showed up.
My reviews problem was never the customer experience. It was that asking for reviews is a job, and I already had one.
I tried the usual fixes. A reminder on my phone that I swiped away. A note in the closing email that clients meant to act on and didn't. A QR code on the counter. Each one worked for about two weeks, which is roughly how long any system lasts when the person running it is also the person quoting jobs, answering the phone, and fixing a printer at a wedding.
So I built the thing I actually needed: a service where asking is somebody else's job. WellEarned texts your customer at the right moment, makes leaving a review a ten second task, replies to the reviews that come in, and flags the unhappy ones before they become public. You do the work you are good at. The asking happens anyway.
That is the whole origin story. No venture capital, no growth team, no phone tree. When you call (619) 452-0435, you get me.
